Hello everyone!!

I recently got my phone stollen, I have my username and password to my web portal but I can’t remember my PIN number. I’ve read there is a recovery option, but I can’t seem to be able to find the option to send it to the recovery phone. Can anyone help? It will be much appreciated!

Hi,

if you have username and password to your avast! Account and Anti-Theft installed, you can change your PIN directly from your avast! Account.

Hi. I have problem like that one, but I have no connection with my phone because of that and when I trying to change it from the website, there is an error: “Action cannot be completed. Anti-Theft version is too old.”
So… I think, if it’s a Chance to see my old pin from the website?

Try using the recovery phone to reset PIN number.

so you lost your device (or it got stolen) AND avast! Account says your Anti-Theft installation is too old and it doesn’t accept any commands?

No, I just forgot my PIN number.

And you didn’t set up your PIN recovery number, right?

Now I’m not sure, but can’t be Anti-Theft updated on the device without the need of PIN?

Filip, you need PIN to update Anti-Theft because the updater is within the app.

The Account should be backwards compatible then or the updater should be excluded from the PIN requirement.

evignon, why do you need the PIN at all? If you login to avast! account, you can remote control the device from there!

In his case, the phone has been stolen, to remote control the device from avast! account, internet connection is required. It is difficult to connect to the device if there are no connection available. Besides, if using sending SMS Commands method, he can not send a correct SMS ???.
