How do I attach logs when I get them please?

When you get the logs saved after running the tools, just open a new response here and look below the box that you type in for a link named “Attachments and other options” and press that. Press the “Choose File” button for all of the logs you are trying to attach and then press Post.

jeffce and true indian I would like you to have my original cry for help which did not go through to the site for some reason.
I am using XP Windows SP3 and have avast free.
After a scan Avast came up with the following 2 infected files which I sent to the chest F class -file name
Virus description java-agent-DRF [ Trj]
Original folder C:\ documents and settings\compaq owner\application
the other infected file is;
File name i4g7464491698058458322.exe
original folder C:\ documents and settings\compaq owner\ local set
Virus Description Win32:ShipUP-U [Trj ]
I also have a pup in the chest as follows File name A0105983.exe
Original folder C:\system volume information\restore (D5F7A20F-129
Avast says infected file.
I took all my Java off my computer after the scan and got rid of my tempory internet files . I have no java now.
Big question is there a simpler way of getting rid of the Java bug or do I have to go through the whole pc cleanup ? and can you tell me please how to sort the PUP out please .

jeffce and true indian I have the logs and have been trying to send four of them to you but do not know how.
I see the attachments and other options and when I click on them and then
browse. "choose file to upload box "appears and wants the name of the file and underneath it says -files of type meaning htlm, pictures or all files , what do I choose certainly not pictures ? And I am not sure about file names as I saved them all to desktop so they all seem to be in notepad and Iwould not know how to get them out of there. the name of the OTL file I think was Text Docs (*.txt ).
Please help.

The logs that you are looking for are titled .txt files from OTL, Malwarebytes, aswMBR and AdwCleaner.
jefface If I ever find out how to send the logs to you I will , think I need a step by step tutorial.
I seem to have -Exploit.Java CVE -2010-0840d according to the net and did follow the steps to get rid of it.
I will keep it in the virus chest and hope for thr best .

I have made a short video for you that will hopefully help you out with attaching logs.
As you can see I made a test file named Example.txt to attach here…if you have more than one attachment, you just need to select more attachments and then select the additional file following the same procedures. Hope this helps.

jeffce you have gone to a lot of trouble for me thankyou. I have got the vidio am having trouble seeing or hearing it as real players screen is just black and just a hissing noise, wonder if it needs java to play , if so I would need to download it, which I will do. I will get back to you as soon as I am able

No it shouldn’t need java to play…I didn’t put any sound to the video either. You should just be able to click on the video and it will direct you to my Photobucket account and it will start on its own?
Hi jeffce,the photobucket page comes up but is either blank or has the microsoft
box over it ie " a problem has been encountered and it needs to close send a report to m/soft.

And you weren’t able to attach the logs using the instructions I provided earlier?
jeffce No I have not seen your vidio yet, ,as when I click on your picture and am transfered to your photo bucket page , the page is blank but I keep on trying, some of the time when photo bucket comes up a microsoft box covers it saying it has encounterd a fault and has to close etc . I am sure I will get there in the end as I am determined.
The good thing is that malwarebytes on a full scan did not find anything wrong, and after the adwcleaner my p.c was so quick. I am glad to say .
After the two infected files have been in the Avast chest for a week or two could I delete them.
I will have more goes to see your vidio and more goes to attach the files. I would have no trouble e/mailing them but do not think that is allowed.
