Perhaps a better request would be “Please >>give me the option to<< remove the pop up warning about Avast Virus Def is outdated”…since I know most people want to know when the Defs are outdated.
well…if they are false positives, then they want go away by not updating
files detected as false positve should be uploaded to avast so they can fix the FP…and send out new update with the fix
why not just use deep freeze alone? since not keeping avast up to date is almost as if theres no antivirus protection to start with.
sry if this does not ans ur qn.
note that i am not recommending u to be without an antivirus, but rather to me an antivirus has to be updated, if not dun bother installing it in the 1st place.
edit: settings → updates → details → (uncheck all checked items as shown in the screenshot)
I have found a fix for avoiding the pop ups by choosing the Avast Update Parameters and check the “I only connect to the internet using a dial up modem”. But the true is i am using a modem with router that no dialing for connecting. No side affect of this?
The good news is No more pop ups in starting Windows.
My question is? is their a side affect of this? i mean will this settings affect my Internet Speed Connection and Latency of the games? or this setting is only affected by Avast software only.
Why would anyone “not” want to keep their anti-virus updated? I like to have as much protection as possible.
If you keep using avast without the the latest vps you run the risk of infection. IMHO having a pop-up is a very
small price to pay for the protection. You have a choice to either set the time of pop-up lower or click on the “x”
on the pop-up. Personally I recommend using auto-updates along with streaming updates. The risk is too high to
do otherwise. Of course, I like an infection free computer.
I was thinking the same thing. Redundancy is not a bad idea. It is far better to be safe than sorry.
Gee, I wonder what the OP is doing to require Deep Freeze. Or at least how often he/she uses Deep Freeze.
If it’s quite often they should re-evaluate their surfing practices.
I’m not following you. I’m not talking about changing the entire GUI, level of protection or amount of prevention. I’m speaking of two options that from their description suggest that they are a contradiction and when options conflict, usually Radio buttons are used. For example, is she pregnant? According to Avast the answer can be written as follows:
[√] Yes
[√] No
The correct way would be to use Radio buttons. Again, is she pregnant?
o Yes
• No
Only one option is allowed to be selected because there is only one possible answer.
I agree and thought about including a third choice, “I don’t know” or something similar. In the end I decided to create the example with the same amount of choices currently available in Avast. However, using a third choice might go something like this:
