I was a very contented user of avast! until I was getting warnings and errors one after the other in my Event Viewer. I asked what I could do on this forum and was told to ignore it. I am the sort of person that cannot do that. I tried to sort it out but, in the end I installed AVG ant-virus and deleted avast. This ran well but, there were a couple of things I didn’t like about it so I re-installed avast.
I have had no problems in Event Viewer to-date and I really feel Very Happy to be Back! David! ;D
Well… there are no other reason to be worried. Most of the events are verbose of the logs.
Maybe Alwil should not warn anything like AVG and you’ll get the false sensation that everything is perfect…
Hope you can keep it this way…
But if you can’t, well, try to ask for help here before going away…

If you have the Logging (Program Settings) set opposite to the Info or Debug Level (default is next to Notice), avast will log more trivial issues and these may also end up in XP’s Event Viewer.
