Hi, i want your help… excuse my english
I have avast for about a year in my computer and the last four months i have a problem with google search bar. Sometimes it doesnt work and avast shows tha there is a dangerous area and gives me an url that says google analytics…ga.js always.

I made some steps that i read in your forum to find out what is going on, but as I am a graphics designer and not a Developer i cannot find what could erase this infection. I think it is a virus but pls if you know how can i Kill it let me know…

Hi there

There are some infection present, but a few files have been flagged as suspicious so I will need to check them out

Warning This fix is only relevant for this system and no other, using on another computer may cause problems

Be advised that when the fix commences it will shut down all running processes and you may lose the desktop and icons, they will return on reboot

If you have Malwarebytes 1.6 or better installed please disable it for the duration of this run

Run OTL

Hello, and thx for the reply. Something is going wrong i try to run OTL. exe i paste the text you gave me but it seems not doing anything… for two hours i don’t know why. I disable Malwarebytes and then i exit from the program because when i only disabled them it seems to have a problem. Do i have to disable avast too.???

Remove the following command from the OTL fix and it will run… We are in discussion with MBAM about this

Furthermore there is a problem with ComboFix, it shows me a warning about mcafee, I have uninstalled mcafee a year ago, i tried to find if there is something installed but i found two folders with no programmes inside, and i delete them. You told me not to re-run the program what can i do now?

OK that showed a few more to remove, once this run is complete can you let me know what problems remain

  1. Close any open browsers.
  2. Close/disable all anti virus and anti malware programs so they do not interfere with the running of ComboFix.
  3. Open notepad and copy/paste the text in the quotebox below into it:

Save this as [b]CFScript.txt[/b], in the same location as ComboFix.exe

Refering to the picture above, drag CFScript into ComboFix.exeWhen finished, it shall produce a log for you at C:\ComboFix.txt which I will require in your next reply.

I will remove my tools now and give some recommendations, but, I would like you to run for 24 hours or so and come back if you have any problems

Now the best part of the day ----- Your log now appears clean :thumbsup:

A good workman always cleans up after himself so…The following will implement some cleanup procedures as well as reset System Restore points:

Remove ComboFix
[*]Hold down the Windows key + R on your keyboard. This will display the Run dialogue box
[*]In the Run box, type in ComboFix /Uninstall
(Notice the space between the “x” and “/”)
then click OK
