Hit F5 twice for force refresh of the browser cache…

As for the webpage, i love it. Clean and VERY simple to navigate.

Though “Runs risky programs safely” for avast! Pro (comparison page) should also be checked. I mean, this is meant for the Sandbox right? Which is available in Pro version as well.

Does Google Chrome have to be the second

  • in the slider? I think that avast! would benefit if they put their products first.

    I like it. I think the light/white colour is easy going and the contrast with dark when tab/s are clicked is great.

    I think that the free antivirus should have its own page. The Pro, IS, and Premier versions have their own link (in Compare Antivirus), but avast! free does not.

    On a PC, it’s O.K.

    From my smart phone, it’s borderline unusable. Did anybody from Avast actually test this new website (full website view, not the mobile view) from a smartphone? Glitchy, halted scrolling, large black shadows, etc. :o

    The mobile Avast website hasn’t been updated so it still shows all old product information.

    The new site interface looks great… clearly laid out, and easier to navigate. Previously, downloads were a bit hard to find, but it’s now easily found, which is a great improvement.

    I agree with !Donovan though… would like to see a separate page for Avast! Free too, with it’s features, system requirements, etc. It’s understandable, that it’s a free product, and your main focus is on the commercial products, but Avast! Free is a hugely popular software too, and you should give treat it that way :). Many users around the world love Avast! Free.

    Had one more suggestion, it would be great if you offer Avast for download from some other download site other than CNET, because they have earned themselves a bad name for wrapping software setups with their download manager. I personally avoid that site, and many others I know. Would be great if you either offered via another download site, or from your own site. I do know you offer via your own site too, but it’s in the download section.

    The new design is perfect, but I found some mistypes in Russian language:

    “avast! Free Antivirus
    Настолько хорошо блокирует вирусы и шпионские программы, что часто превосходить …”
    the correct way is:
    “avast! Free Antivirus
    Настолько хорошо блокирует вирусы и шпионские программы, что часто превосходит …” (without letter ‘ь’)
    Also:
    “Безопасность онлайн покупок и банковский операций”
    the correct is: “Безопасность онлайн-покупок и банковскиx операций”

    And lost comma:
    “У нас есть продукт, подходящий именно Вам.”

    And this is absolutely incorrect:
    “Зайти на форум
    Спросите (или ответите) на вопросы от других пользователей avast! онлайн.”
    the correct is:
    “Зайти на форум
    Задайте свои вопросы или ответьте на вопросы других пользователей avast! онлайн.”

    I’m sure, that there are many other mistakes in translation.

    I would have though that someone would have been monitoring the avast 8 GUI topic and feedback site as this is just repeating the contrast issues of the avast 7 free UI. Yes there are some light relief (excuse the pun) with the graphics, but there are acres of white, too bright.

    I’m experiencing a glitch when I hover over the Home and Business categories up at the top.
    When I hover on them, they display a screen-wide black, empty huge block.
    To have the Drop Down Menus properly drop down, I seem to have to first hover above the categories and then move downward.
    Coming onto those 2 categories from either the sides or from below them will display the aforementioned screen-wide black, empty block.
