I purchased for 1 year Pro Avast a week ago. My Avast went pro again as this is the 2nd purchase. 2 days ago I did a system restore (to a point that my Avast wasn’t activated). It’s been outdated and I could not add the license file again (my name is still on it).
I’ve tried to contact Avast twice and they didn’t even reply. YOUR CUSTOMER SERVICE SUCKS, AVAST. Protecting your customer system security isn’t your business objective, is it ?
I have to disagree to the statement about poor customer service. I had the same problem some days ago, doing a System restore without turning off Avast and I got a lot of help from the Avast people.
No, it won’t as the system date and the expiry dates won’t have changed.
Using system restore can come with unexpected consequences also, it isn’t a backup tool, it doesn’t cover everything, so you can end up worse off than you were previously. I gave up on system restore many, many years ago in favour of using hard drive imaging software. This makes an exact image of your hard drive/partition, so when you restore an image of your drive you get exactly that, not only some files, etc. being covered by system restore.
Avast support never reminded me, how does that make you think they have a good customer service ?
I understand there might be a thousand of messages they receive everyday, but now it has been 3 days, some other companies could have done better than that.
