I just down loaded avast 4 on my home computer. Its working GREAT, but i get alot more pop-ups on my puter now. What can i do to fix this??

Click on the link in my signature and follow the steps on that page to clean and update your system. Let us know if the problem is solved or not after doing so.
Are you using Internet Explorer as a browser? What version if you are? Some browsers other than I.E. have built in pop-up blockage built into them that do not allow pop ups to be viewed. One of these for example is Firefox. Another browser is Opera. Then there are stand alone pop up blocker programs that you might find to help if you are using Internet Explorer. Just go to a search engine like Google, type in “Pop up Blocker” or something similiar and see what the engine comes up with for a free type of pop up blocker program. Hope this helps. ;D

You can have a google search function within firefox.
When you say popups, are you talking virus warning popups or the popups at the bottom of the screen (notifications)?
Are you talking about ‘avast pop-ups’? A blue/red panel of avast update or what?
You can take a look into ‘Settings’ on my signature to configure better avast! into your needs 
I am new to avast too great program but I keep getting avast popups every few minutes.they interfere with any game I play,can anyone tell me how to stop them please ;D
left click the avast icon…select standard shield…select customize…select advanced…ensure there is not a tick in show detailed info on performed action
