Possible false positive

I keep randomly getting this (attached image) when I am browsing on Youtube or Google search. Here are the specs of my PC:

  1. Windows 7 Pro 64bit
  2. Google Chrome
  3. Avast Free 8 latest version

Detailed URL is in the attached JPEG. I need official confirmation and response on the suspected URL. Thank you.

I don’t think infection, but rather it is tracking my browsing activities, which might be implemented by Google Chrome recently, however caught by Avast!

Yeah, I’m getting this pop-up on 70% of the sites I visit – even google search results pages! I’ve done an avast system scan, spybot s&d and scanned with Malwarebytes, and doesn’t look so far as though my system is infected. This is happening both on Chrome Version 26.0.1410.64 m and Firefox 20.0.1 on Windows 8.

This started occuring this morning (I’m on Eastern Time). Just wondering if this is a false positive problem where the web protector has flagged a url that is commonly embedded in many sites on the internet.

I’ve bee getting this is as well all day and it is confusing the heck out of me.

Hmm. My Avast just auto-updated its virus definitions a few minutes ago, and after a quick check it appears the b.scorecardresearch.com malicious URL notification is no longer popping up. Hopefully they’re corrected something. Will post again if I notice a recurrence.
