Possible to delete .vpx files ?

Hi to everybody.
I have Avast Free Antivirus (11.1)
I found something about vpx files but didn’t understand if they can be deleted or not.
The huge problem is that Avast directory is now 9,6 Gb, vpx files are about 8,6 Gb !!

Do you have any solution ?

In what folder are they ?

Here: C:\Program Files\AVAST Software\Avast_2\setup\

It is safe to delete them.
