I run xp service pack 3 fully updated with fully updated Avast free. My computer has been acting funny lately in that I noticed that the behavior shield was disabled and sometimes I noticed Avast wasn’t running and things like this. I had been going to a site that had a virus but Avast intercepted it. I tried to repair Avast, ran a full scan, and also a scan with Malwarebytes and nothing comes up. But when I decided to try to install a previous full image I have on a flash drive I noticed the my bart pe boot disk does not work. It continues to not recognize the disk. The same thing happens when I try another boot disk I made. Music cds placed in the drive act normally. Does it sound like a have something that is disabling the use of the boot disks so that I can not remove it?
I like like to rephrase my question as it might be a little confusing as stated above. Can anyone think of an instance where windows would recognize and run music CD’s etc, but would not recognize a rescue disk in the same drive. (Bart Pe)
