prob wid scanning using avast

i had a few problems in updating avast last week.now that problem is solved and a new problem has come up.
i cant scan any thing using avast from yday.if i right click and select “start avast!antivirus” it shows an error as “Application cannot load skin.Function “usiGetskin” failed.”

if i try to scan a pendrive it shows an error as “During open ATL dialog.Error number-1”

Please give a solution.Am beginning to hate avast…

Have you done a repair of avast? If not, please do so and try again.
In the control panel > programs > add/remove > avast > remove > select repair.
Reboot after the repair has finished and try a scan.

Or just disable the skin if you don`t like the car stereo look
