When do these files appear?
They could be related to the old crash (and not a new one).
Please upload the files to the ftp server (ftp://ftp.avast.com/incoming) or send them by mail to rypacek (at) asw.cz

Hey they happened after I rebooted MINUTES ago.

The image shows a faulting program ashWebSv.exe web shield and also a faulting module iFW_Xfilter.dll, avast may well be using a module that has a problem. This is still flagged as a problem with avast but the module iFW_Xfilter.dll does not belong to avast.

This is the true problem, the iFW_Xfilter.dll, do a search for this file and let is know its location, when you find it check the file properties and see who it belongs to ?
What is your firewall ?

I did a google search for iFW_Xfilter.dll and only got one hit, to me that is strange.

O10 - Unknown file in Winsock LSP: c:\arquivos de programas\iolo\common\firewall\ifw_xfilter.dll O10 - Unknown file in Winsock LSP:

Yahoo returns a further hit, http://www.spywaredata.com/spyware/malware/ifw_xfilter.dll.php this shows clean/safe, but I don’t like such a lack of hits in a search.

C:Program Files\iolo\Firewall\iFW_Xfilter.dll

I am using MS XP home SP2 Firewall

iolo’s product is SystemMechanic 7PRO

I’m not using their firewall. And their program acknowledges this.

Well something is having an effect and if you aren’t using their firewall why is it in your program files folder ?
Is there an uninstall or add remove entry for it ?

That dll is active because ashWebSv.exe is using it (you image proves it) why is the question there would appear to be an LSP hook of sorts setup by the IOLO product.

Thank you! The information you provided was extremely helpful.

I shall contact IOLO to resolve THEIR problem.

Thanks Again

Rkader

Your welcome, I would be interested to what they have to say, if it is their dll and why it appears to be active when you don’t use their firewall.

A belated welcome to the forums.
