Yesterday, August 22nd, 2020, my much-used video editing program “MAGIX Video de luxe” failed. Shortly before the file “MxVfxHDRx64.dll” , which belongs to MAGIX, had been sent to quarantine by avast. De-installation and re-installation of “MAGIX” did not help. What now?
You don’t say what the detection was, that information should be in the virus chest details.
You can send the MxVfxHDRx64.dll file in the chest to Avast for analysis see attached image. I don’t know if you would get a direct response on this. But a way of checking if it is no longer detected would be to restore it from the virus chest, if avast alerts and sends it back then the detection hasn’t been corrected.
Your final option would be, if you accept the risk, you can use the Restore and Add Exception option.
