I have worked and repair program

However the same problem

What is the solution

I suggest an installation from scratch:

  1. Download the latest version of avast! Uninstall Utility and save it.
  2. Download the latest avast! version and save it.
  3. Uninstall avast from Control Panel (if possible). If, for any reason, you can’t run it, try booting in Safe Mode and doing it from there. Anyway, boot after that.
  4. Run the avast! Uninstall Utility saved on 1. If, for any reason, you can’t run it, try booting in Safe Mode and doing it from there. Anyway, boot after you’ve run it.
  5. Install avast! using the setup saved on 2. Boot.
  6. Register your free copy or add the license key for Pro. Or even upgrade your key from old versions.
  7. Check and post the results. If, for any reason, you did not solve, try doing the step 3 in Safe Mode anyway.

Why installation from scratch? I would think the problem is much more simple to resolve.

If some shield is inactive, re - activate it and reboot.

If the registration is expired, renew it.

Is there any other problem?

Why repair?
Because the user said:

When repair fails at the interface, the activation of the shield could fail after boot.

OK, my interpretation was / is different. Let me explain myself.

First, have you (Faisal1400) rebooted immediately after the repair finishes?

Second, if the repair (and reboot) failed, I would try installing over the current installation (and reboot). Only if the re-installation (and reboot) failed, I would clean up and start from scratch.

But my interpretation of the OP was not that avast (and the repair) was failing. My interpretation was that not all shields were active (for whatever reason). So using the “fix it” and rebooting may (should) reactivate the shields.

If the problem was that avast’s status is “unsecured”, it may be because the shields (described above) or the license expired. In such case, simply go and renew it from “maintenance → registration”.

My point is that I didn’t interpret that avast was failing, but only that something was just inactive.

I guess a more specific explanation from Faisal1400 is needed?
