Problem with boot scaning on Vista Home Premium

Hi!
Please help. I use avast! 4.8. Home Edition(Build 4.8.1282) on Fujitsu Siemens Computers laptop(Amilo PA 3553). I can schedule-boot scanning and after restart my computer normally starts boot scanning, but after some time computer froze.
I can only shut down computer on button switch. What is the problem? Is it Vista? What is solution?

Are the fans working correctly?
Is there more info in the boot-time scan report file (Avast4\DATA\report\aswBoot.txt).
