Problem with Gawker today..

I just got this when I tried to view Gawker.com, which I frequent every day. Never happened before - Whats going on?

It is happening to lots of people and on different websites. :frowning: there is a thread where people are discussing it.

Lol, welcome to the club , same thing is happening here =.=

We already have a thread on this, see: http://www.avgthreatlabs.com/sitereports/domain/d1ros97qkrwjf5.cloudfront.net/

Thanks Polunus. Strange, it doesn’t happen when I view in Chrome.

Hi Killa,

That is right. It is IE and Firefox specific, while the two varieties slightly differ for each browser. As I explained in another thread’s post it is injected javascript for RUM (real user monitoring) javascript, injected in HTML in 6th instances to better be able to monitor user browser behavior.
Why avast, fanboy’s list and avg flag it, isn’t known to me yet. The code seems with errors and seems to have been launched very recently…

P.S. Seems there is a Chrome variant also that avast seems to flag…

I’m getting it on Chrome.

It started for me today also on Gawker.

Been to other sites that have never been a problem before but the pop up box under the taskbar is raising frequently no matter where on the internet I am…

I’m closed Chrome and am now on Safari -

Glad I’m not the only one - wondering what is going on…

Opened Avast User Interface but found nothing there.

Checked and the Windows Firewall is on.

False positive?

Thanks
