problem with ikernel.exe

Ok actually i have 2 problems, first one is about ikernel.exe
When im trying to run an InstallShield wizard it throws this messege:

and it not just with this one, i have experienced trubles with other install apps.
Then i’ve checked the avast journal and there’s what i saw:
04.12.2006 0:20:58 SYSTEM 1708 AAVM - scanning warning: x_AavmCheckFileDirectEx [UNI]: D:\Install\Launch.exe (D:\Install\Launch.exe) returning error, 0000001E.
04.12.2006 0:20:58 SYSTEM 1708 AAVM - scanning error: x_AavmCheckFileDirectEx: avfilesScanReal of D:\Install\Launch.exe failed, 0000001E.

So i just wanted to make sure that it’s because of the avast, before reinstalling it or taking any other actions.

upd The main question is: could it be avast that blocks installshield app?

Error 1E is “read fault”… so it sounds like a bad block on the hard disk (or CD - I’m not sure what your drive D: is).

yeah it is a cd…
But still the setup file located in a different folder on the same cd, and thats when the “ikernel” error comes up…

Can you copy this CD to the hard disk?
Will it be any errors doing so?
Will avast be able to read the copied files?
