Problem with Safe Zone

This occurs on my Vista desktop, but not on my XP desktop, (which I have now stopped using on-line due to the pending closure of security updates by Microsoft).

My Avast Pro V2014.9.0.2016 runs like a charm on both computers and using Safe Zone also runs on both, but the Vista machine has problems…

Using Safe Zone, after completing interaction with one site, signing out and closing that site, I don’t get the option to chose a second site to access, My tabs don’t appear and the globe in the bottom left corner is unresponsive.

Secondly when I close Safe Zone, whether I’ve just accessed a single site or experienced the scenario above, I can’t always get other desktop icons to work and even if I do a couple of times, the computer eventually grinds to a halt. Sometimes a message saying Windows Explorer is not responding appears. No matter what I then do it will not right itself and I have no option but to turn off the computer at the wall.

My subscription expires in a month and I thought I may then uninstall Avast and download afresh. maybe a reinstall will solve it, but I don’t want to subscribe for another year if I can’t solve this problem.

Any suggestions please?

I’ve tried Settings/Tools/SafeZone/Reset SafeZone. This was recommended previously but doesn’t solve the problem.

Hi bilnrobn1
I have same problem as you.
I also tried resetting SafeZone.

I also tried disabling AOS to no avail.

I have a problem with computer freezing after using safezone browser. ( Vista Home Basic)
I also sent a ticket.
Was informed by Avast tech support the above problem will be fixed next program update.
