You can’t use two antivirus at a time, they conflict.
Which is your old antivirus?

Hello! Who can help me! For some time using avast antivirus 4.8 and comodo firewall 3.8 with defense + (set to “proactive defense”), everything went perfect Windows load faster, but with the transition from version 3.8 to 3.9, windows move very hard stage “welcome screen” in windows itself! What is the reason? Thanks!

:slight_smile: Hi “Thug” :

You need to START your own “thread” and NOT latch onto someone else’s .

Long time ago, I have the same problems (but using the Home Editon). I tried this step:

  1. Uninstall both antivirus, Avast may need “uninstall utility” which can be found at http://www.avast.com/eng/avast-uninstall-utility.html

  2. Restart the computer;

  3. Try to clean the registry (CCleaner may helps if you do not want to clean it manually) of the antivirus software;

  4. Restat once again;

  5. Install avast (I think you may use Home Edition or Pro, just the same as I know) → Finish install;

  6. Restart (again…, sorry so many times restart);

  7. Put your key, if you use Home Edition, it should be automaticly upgrade to Pro Edition if you connect to the internet.

Hope this will help. :slight_smile:

Thanks! Frankly had a small effect, but even if the system starts quickly, if I restart the problem appears equally, you know what is funny, if you install an older version of Avast, for example 4.7__ and give upgrate the new version 4.8.1335 system is performing well, however is loading fine, I have the same problem, happened with other versions of antivirus, frankly seems weird that it happens, it’s not normal, the new version should behave like the previous version! Thanks

You could have register for free at the avast site.
