So I tried out the free version and decided to upgrade to deal for protection on one computer over a course of a year.
Avast froze at the end of the activation whiting out the activation code.
I tried to recover the code using this tool: https://www.avast.com/resend-license-paid.php
However it says I never registered even though I saw the program validate my credit card and everything.
Is there another way to obtain the validation code you just purchased?
Check the Digital River or Nexway website (depending on which one handled the transaction) and check the order status.
Hasn’t shown up in my online banking, usually takes a few days or more. Would the company name be in the transaction description or is there another way to tell?
If your oder went through, you would have received a confirmation email with details.
I guess there lies my problem then.
I didn’t receive an email, but it said my credit card was verified and approved through the Avast program. I also had an account for this site apparently which I don’t remember setting up. That’s what was getting me confused.
I’ll have to wait to see if anything shows up on my bank statement and go from there.

I think you will not succeed and that is a indication that the order did not went through.
You can also send a mail to sales@avast.com and ask them if they can find your order.
