Over the past week or so I’ve started having some problems with Silent Mode on Avast.
Even if it’s active (and I never deactivated it), all kinds of notifications pop up every hour or so, mostly those that go like “we found X malicious cookies, update now and get rid of them”. I have tried turning silent mode off and on again, but it didn’t make any difference.
For reference, I believe it started since the last scan I performed on my computer, which happened a little less than a week ago. I’m not sure if those thing could be related, but anyway.
It is just so disrespectful and annoying. Those pop up notifs take up a big space on my screen and it’s starting to get a little embarassing, especially when I’m screensharing for a meeting or giving a lecture. And I work with a lot of graphic programs, which already fry and toast my CPU as it is - it has happened two or three times that my PC was already frozen and the process of the popup opening just threw a bunch of dirt on top of everything.
I do not plan on upgrading, since the free version gives me everything I need and I prefer to use other apps to do the same thing the premium version would allow me to do. I just want my option for silent mode to be respected.
Is anyone else having the same problem as me? Is this a bug or a feature?
