Progress w/ unknwn error updtes if google DNS isnt cure?

I’ve been around the block with the unknown error and not able to update the program (anti-virus files are ok). Google’s DNS doesnt work for me, and using straight comcast connex doesnt work. Is there another setting on my laptop that avast is sniffing at that i could change/etc?

(i thought a fix was in the works)

hi bob,

my prgm is 17.4.2294 build17.4.3482.0 cant update the prgm to current builds

virus defs were updated a minute or two ago.

If using an alternate DNS isn’t working, I really don’t know what else to try.

Have you tried a clean install ???

If Repair doesn’t fix the problem, try the following:

open the command prompt and type ipconfig/flushdns try that and see if you can update.

bob: will try the clean install and hope that the ‘issue’ was but a quirk with the old install
