Prompted for Pin when opening Facebook

I have Avast Mobile 3.0.6.351 and all of a sudden I was prompted for my Avast Pin when I tried to open the Facebook app on my phone. It said I didn’t have a Password Recovery phone number set for the device. I’ve now set one and confirmed it with the same info in my online account , but I still have to enter my Avast Pin each time I access Facebook. As far as I can see , it’s the only app that’s asking for it ?

Hi,

that’s an App Locking, one of the features of AMS. Are you sure you didn’t lock Facebook there? (Or maybe via the advisory notification from AMS.)

Thank you for the reply. No , I didn’t set any app locking.

As it seemed the easiest thing to do , I uninstalled then re installed Facebook and the pin prompt does not appear

Yes, because upon reinstallation of the app, the App Locking rule for it gets deleted.
