The “Protected by avast antivirus” at boot time is not translated.
Wouldn’t it be easy to do?

By the way, it does not seem to be in the Windows registry. Is it hardcoded in the driver?

I think it is hard coded into a file in avast, the registry key to enable/disable is:

(According to the reg file that Vlk posted to allow it back when it was removed.)

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\aswSP\Parameters]

Thanks Scott, but I don’t find a string (text) to be loaded… Seems hardcoded…

Yes, the string is built into an avast file somewhere sorry, meant to convey that in the last post.

Yeah, the message is hard coded and there’s no easy way to have it localized.
For now, we don’t plan to localize it.
