Hi I have got a problem!
Everytime when I start my computer up I get a error about avast can’t find any server to get update?
Check your server.defs file what size is it. Alwil/data/servers.def. If it is 0 bytes the copy and paste the below into your server defs file or do a repair of avast.

Also, into the firewall settings, the following programs should be allowed to connect:
C:\Program Files\Alwil Software\Avast4\ashWebSv.exe (avast! Web Scanner)
C:\Program Files\Alwil Software\Avast4\ashMaiSv.exe (avast! e-Mail Scanner Service)
C:\Program Files\Alwil Software\Avast4\Setup\avast.setup (avast! Update executable)
Do you use a firewall? Which one?

Your servers.def is corrupted, 0KB.
Try a repair of avast. Add Remove programs, select ‘avast! Anti-Virus,’ click the Change/Remove button and scroll down to Repair, click next and follow. You need to be on-line to do this.

I tried to repair but I can’t 
And I tried to download a new servers.def file but it dosn’t work.
Right now I can only find one way back and it’s to reinstall avast!
I tried to download a new servers.def file but it dosn't work.What errors or warnings are given, why doesn't it work ? Did you put it in avast4\setup directory, if so did it warn about replacing an existing file ?
If the repair didn’t work, uninstall, reboot, install, reboot.
It would probably be best to download the latest version of avast and save it to your HDD, somewhere you can find it again. Use that when you reinstall.
