Pushing clients fails "due to the wrong credentials"

We are migrating from the on-premises console to the cloud console. I’ve been trying to push the cloud-based client to machines in our network but for several of them I keep getting an error claiming the installation failed “due to the wrong credentials”.

I’m using the default administrator account for all of these installations. On all machines that account has the same password, which I supply to the business hub every time I try to push installations. The installs work successfully for most machines but on some of them they don’t.

The error “wrong credentials” is clearly spurious, as the same credentials are required on all machines and they work on most of them.

What is wrong here?
