Does ,not having script blocking effect the comp security??..Once i was downloading a script virus by mistake, but Avast detected it.
The Web Shield provider does monitor http traffic including script viruses. So as you say not having a script blocker didn’t effect your security.
If you feel you need a specific Script Blocker then the pro version has one.
I have got by without one for over two and a half years without one, no problems, but there are pro-active things you can do to improve your security.
Firefox has a script blocker.
Other ones are AnalogX Script Defender and ScripTrap. You can Google to them
