ok This is from my sister. She wants to know does she really need to update to 4.5 (final version not the beta) when it comes out? She has a very slow 14.4 Dial up connection and hates large downloads. (in fact thats why she chose avast I told her about the small size of iAVS updates)
EDIT: By the way Guys Im useing the BETA 505 build and no problems so far
She doesn’t have to, of course (she can set the program updates to “manual” so that the notifications won’t be shown). However, she’ll miss all the bugfixes and new features…
Btw, you can download the full installer (when its out) and bring it to her on a CD (or any similar medium) - it can be used to update the existing installation offline.
I strongly suggest she does update to 4.5 (final release) when it is there. (bugfixes, new futures and such) Remeber, a program update is not something that is released every week 
It is almost a 1 time event.
Be nice to here MAC, give here a 56k6 modem for her bithday. They only cost about 15 euro. ;D

Yes. Actually, you won’t install it “over” it. When the installer detects an existing installation, it performs a regular update.
