Question About "Some Items Could Not Be Scanned"

I understand the reasons why the message “some files could not be scanned” appears as I checked earlier posts regarding this.

My hubby had just scanned his PC with Avast and received the above message. I proceeded to scan my PC as well and received the exact same message and locations. However, the scan log gives no information whatsoever such as 1) any virus found 2)Run Time 3) Number of folders scanned etc. In other words, it seems like the entire scan was useless.

I am assuming that our machines are clear. But it is frustrating that the details of these full scans are blank. Is there a way to get Avast to create a full report despite the fact that 7 files could not be scanned? We have no details whatsoever and are in the dark as to what this “full scan” actually accomplished.

Hope this makes sense. For the moment I will assume no virus was found, but I would like some details about what Avast did. Thanks in advance.

Thank you! That, of course, is the best news. So both our PCs check out OK. We’ve used Avast for several years now and have always been pleased with it. Happy to say that I’ve gotten a few members of our computer club to switch to it and they are amazed how simple but efficient it is.
