Well, I was just typing up a Word document on my Windows 7 Sony VAIO laptop, when all of a sudden it said I had viruses. The box popped up and kept saying I had a virus. This happened well over 50 times. I looked at the pop up box and it said 50/50, as in how many notifications I had of the same “Trojan Detected”.
I ran some scans with Avast, but only half way, because even the “Quick Scan” takes some time to scan. So, I ran scans with Microsoft Security Essentials and Windows Defender, and they said I had viruses and I removed the, but they said they were still there.
After a while, they went away, and I thought it was all right. But then my computer got a Blue Screen of Death and I got very sad. So I restarted my computer.
After it restarted, my computer is all good, I presume, but I don’t have a desktop image which I had before, and my Avast Program, which is the full Internet Security one, says I am not fully protected because my “Antispam” is not on. I clicked the “Fix Now” button and the “Turn on” button, but it will not work.
So, I was wondering what is happening and if anyone can give me advice as on how to repair this problem, any help would be appreciated. And also, if anyone can tell me what the main things to look for in your computer system to detect a virus, please tell me via this post. Thank you.
Any help is appreciated and thank you for reading this.
EDIT:
Avast told me it was a “Fake Spyro” or something like that. It also listed the following files as infected:
C://users/Programfiles/avast
Sounds like you have fake spypro variant.Try running something like McAfee stinger which is a free stand alone application ,that specifically deals with the fake type (including spypro) malware.
Disconnect from net and disable your avast ,and run stinger in safe mode.

Some of the spypro malware can affect your system files so its possible some of them are corupted.
