Would Network Shield conflict with Comodo Memory Firewall or will they work together? Just asking. ???
Hi…
I wouldn’t think there would be a problem, others have been using Comodo with avast just fine, from what I understand.
May God Bless!
I use CMF (as well as CFP) and although I don’t have the network provider running now, have had in the past and there were no problems.
Why not?
Is Comodo Memory Firewall compatible with other firewalls? Including Comodo itself?
Does it worth?

I don't have the network provider running now Why not?Because it's a standalone computer with a direct cable connection, not shared.
The “direct cable connection” is done by a network, you’re networked with the Internet.
You should use Network Shield…
Hmm. OK. Just never seen it scan or seem to otherwise do anything.
This was true… not even more in the latest beta avast version. Network Shield was deeply improved. http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=39585.msg332063#msg332063
I did remove Comodo Memory Firewall. Will Avast catch buffer overflow attacks? Just asking.
Honestly, I can’t imagine a way how anybody could “catch” buffer overflow attacks in general…
I have the Comodo Memory Firewall installed. Have had for about a year. Uninstalled it for a time - never seemed to do anything, read a post, on Wilders I think, saying that the user had seen one event of this type, and the CMF stopped it cold. It doesn’t use much resource, so I reinstalled it.
It popped it’s first alert just a few days ago, much to my surprise, as I was installing some backup software that came with an external hard drive.
Didn’t understand the alert, but it gave me cause to think that the software may not have been the best, and sure enough, it didn’t work very well.
I’m keeping it. (CMF, not the backup software).
It may have a limited application, for some little known and possibly not-often-exploited vulnerabilities, but I don’t know of anything else that will do the job.
Is Comodo joking with us? ???
Hi, it surprises me what are you guys talking about in this thread. I’ve expected something totally different - judging by the subject. :
Well… the first post mention Comodo Memory Firewall… then we go to this branch of the conversation…
