Hi,
Re the Virus problem with IOBIT Advanced Window Care.

I thought I would try with a new download of the AWC this morning and downloaded all OK without any notification/return of a virus during the download?

I did a AVAST check scan [Using Right Click Menu] and showed no trace of a virus, Install the AWC and the AVAST Screen Saver finished with out showing a virus.

It looks like it is now as all seems OK??

Now was there a virus present in the IOBIT programming or was it related to Malware and have or have Avast modified their programing

There are other threads here about this (and similar) detections. They’re FP’s. When I first read about the Iobit one, I decided to scan it with Avast, to see if mine was “infected” too. It was. Less than an hour later, there was an Avast vps update. Scanning the same file again produced a clean result.
(Darned fast work, congratulations Avast team. ;D )
To sum up: It’s a false positive; you didn’t need to re-download the AWC program; it was never infected. Avast fixed the FP. That’s why it’s not detected now.
