The same here with Avast Premium on Android. On my devices, everything is ok (recent signatures, shield(s) on), but my.avast.com reports OFF and N/A !?!?
I totally removed Antitheft and Antivirus (premium) from my device, removed the device from my.avast and rebooted the phone. After some time i reinstalled both. My.avast still shows that ‘shields are turned off’ and ‘automatic update of virus definitions’ is turned off. But as already said: on the device (a Sony Z1 compact) everything is fine.
Find attached the screenshot. Problem exists for both devices (Android) when looking at my.avast.com but on the devices everything is ok (recent signatures, all shields active).
Same problem here. I have registered an Android Phone and my.avast.com says:
Real-Time shields:
OFF
Virus Definitions Updates:
OFF
Program Version:
N/A
Definitions Version:
N/A
Anti-Theft:
ON
Installed as System App
NOT INSTALLED
On the phone everything shows up correctly and updates are working as expected. I even deleted the phone from the account and reregistered it. Problem remains the same.
Any progress on this issue? Can we get an update when it will be fixed?
I also see no regular communication between the mobile and my.avast.com.
Only when I manually trigger a GPS tracking, the last communication field gets updated. Otherwise no changes happening in the Information field in my.avast.com.
I have the same problem as above and also i have problems with the comunication beteewn my lg g3 and the avast accunt i hav on two comunnicate every 19 miutes an you will see in the screen shot that past 22 minutes.
I also attache screenshot with the problems with the shield and the vius definition .
It is any way to soove this please
I changed my phone to a Nexus 5 last week and noticed the issue straight away… I just upgraded to Lollipop but it still says ‘Shields are turned off’ and ‘Automatic update of virus definitions is off’ even though the phone app shows them as on
I thinks it’s time for Avast to look into this seriously.
As I mentioned before: loosing possible customers this way.
(BTW: I installed Mobile Backup, wanted to backup to Google Drive, backup started, then stopped, says ‘invalid SD…’ (something like that). Uninstalled Mobile Backup, deleted it’s folder on Google Drive, re-installed, now Mobile Backup won’t run the “configure Google Drive” wizzard, says it’s already configured. Start backup: error about invalid SD. Program says: goto my.avast.com to change settings for Google Drive. Doesn’t help. I can’t even choose the Google-account whose Drive I want to use.
IMHO Avast has many good ideas, but doesn’t take the time to develop those and look into every (im)posibility. If one item seems to work: let’s jump to the next. Not the way to go.
And “yes” I know: discussions about Mobile Backup should go in the right thread. Sorry).
