Recurring trojan alerts

Hello.

I had encountered a similar problem to this one: http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=123799.0
Namely, repeated avast alerts about trojan horse and malware.

I did a full scan and a boot-time scan after. It didn’t seem to help.
Then I used combofix as specified in the topic above. Now I am recieving no more alerts.

Yet I would like to know if the virus is truly gone for good and if I need to take any further action.

Attached are the combofix log and OTL and FSS logs after running combofix.

Thanks in advance.

Hi there it will take a few more runs I feel

  1. Close any open browsers.

  2. Close/disable all anti virus and anti malware programs so they do not interfere with the running of ComboFix.

  3. Open notepad and copy/paste the text in the quotebox below into it:

Save this as CFScript.txt, in the same location as ComboFix.exe

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v666/sUBs/CFScriptB-4.gif

Refering to the picture above, drag CFScript into ComboFix.exe

When finished, it will produce a log for you at C:\ComboFix.txt which I will require in your next reply.

OK, done.

Could you now run a fresh OTL scan please with the following script, there will only be one log this time … How is the computer at the moment ?

[*]Run OTL.

https://dl.dropbox.com/u/73555776/OTL_Main_Tutorial.gif

[*]Select All Users
[*]Under the Custom Scan box paste this in

netsvcs
BASESERVICES
%SYSTEMDRIVE%*.exe
/md5start
services.*
explorer.exe
winlogon.exe
Userinit.exe
svchost.exe
/md5stop
dir C:\ /S /A:L /C
CREATERESTOREPOINT

[*]Click the Run Scan button. Do not change any settings unless otherwise told to do so. The scan wont take long.
[*]When the scan completes, it will open two notepad windows. OTL.Txt and Extras.Txt. These are saved in the same location as OTL.
[*]Post both logs

Sorry for the delay; I had a rather busy day.

My computer is running fine since the first ComboFix launch. It’s running at the same speed as before infection (I think) and I haven’t received any new alerts since.
Here is the OTL log.

Thanks for the guidance ^^

I accidentally didn’t copy the whole code for the .bat file, and I saw it only after launching. So I had to make a new one and launch that one. It showed some errors about not being able to delete the reparse points, but I assume that’s because the first one did it already. After that all seemed to go nicely.

Logs are attached.

OK that looks to have killed it, how is the computer behaving ?

Ya, the paths are all there. I’m glad avast alerted me about the virus timely.
The computer is running nice and smooth, no alerts etc.

Thanks again for help ^^

Subject to no further problems
