Redirect malware w/website origin of clikcpixelabn

When I enter search inquiries into Firefox, Avast is consistently blocking a redirect attempt by malware originating from what I can only imagine is a fake website, clikcpixelabn c o m, followed by at least a hundred characters - not catching it in repeated attempts to run virus scan, nor is Malwarebytes either. That said, still getting slammed with internet windows opening for unknown vendors but closing them as they initialize. It seems to only be a problem on Firefox (can’t carry a firewall or any other security devices due to only having 512K of RAM, to say nothing of HijackThis!) but if there is any way to eradicate this nuisance or places in my files that I should be looking for suspicious associated programs, I would be very grateful - had it for over a month now - checked Temp folder and doesn’t appear to be anything, but not sure…

Try cleaning your temp files with this......then maybe

TFC - Temp File Cleaner by OldTimer

TFC requires a reboot immediately after running. Be sure to save any unsaved work before running TFC.

I got this on my wife’s computer. I finally got rid of it by running TDSSkiller from http://support.kaspersky.com/viruses/solutions?qid=208280684. It apparently took over the atapi driver on her computer.

Thank You KCFLYER!

Your suggestion for TDSSkiller(Kapersky) worked perfectly! It is a stand alone EXE and sure enough it found and removed the rootkit. Now everything is working fine on all the browsers when viewing search engines. No more irritating “clikcpixelabn.com” error.
