Redlof and folder.htt

Hi,

Although I run Avast Pro, sometimes the ‘VBS/Redlof virus’ in ‘folder.htt’ cannot be detected lately.
So I follow the following steps when I doubt it exists on a disk:

1- select ‘show hidden files and folders’ in IE Tools → folder opyions → view
1- open search (all disks), Start → Search
2- search ( desktop.ini ) that contains ( folder.htt )
3- delete each ( desktop.ini ) and the ( folder.htt ) in its folder.

Both files are usually made hidden.
The infected ( desktop.ini ) has a line to run ( folder.htt ) that contains the virus.

desktop.ini and folder.htt are normally legitimate Windows files. If Redlof is not detected, it may not be there
