Redundant Apps

A few minutes ago I subscribed to a premium version of Avast.

I then ran a Smart Scan to detect problems.

One problem that popped up was “Redundant Apps.” [See Image Attached]

The problem is I do not have a clue how to Disable these Apps.

Could someone kindly provide instructions on how to do this?

Thank you

If you figure it out can you let me know please.

Get a subscription for CleanUp and click solve all after the scan.

If Reg Run and Sys Tray App are both not Windows programs, but third-party programs you’ve installed recently or some time ago, all you would need to do is stop them from starting when you start-up windows.

Windows 10 (which is what I think you’ve got) and it does not have either as a Windows Task or Process file.

Audio system file? https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/startups/IDT_PC_Audio-26989.html

Registry tool? https://www.wilderssecurity.com/threads/regrun-what-the-heck-is-it.4150/

If I am right then you can disable both from starting as you do not need them. If not right one one or the other, or both, then sorry, not enough information plus I am not in front of your computer.

If not right then Eddy’s advice would be best for you, or you can just ignore what Premier is telling you and save yourself the money.

Personally, I’d just stop the audio process from starting and get rid of the registry program. But, that’s just me.

McChain: Thank you for a most informative response.

You’re welcome.
