I would like to know how I get a refund from Avast. My computer was compromised and had to be completely erased due to a virus. I have not gone on any new sites and it gave no warning like it has in the past if something is questionable. I contacted support, but they told me there is nothing they can do. I would like some help on what to do next.

My computer was compromised and had to be completely erased due to a virus.Who/what make you believe that ? Besides that, fact that is almost 100% certain it was not a virus. Every virus is malware, but not the other way around.
Just because your system got infected (if that is even true), it is not a valid reason to get a refund.
There is no software in the world that gives 100% protection against everything.
