Regular validation request a POP.GMAIL certificate.

Hi!

Several times a day a GMAIL certificate validation request is displayed. I’m accepting it, it comes back all the time.

That did not exist in my AVAST version 8.

What to do?

  • Which Avast…? (Free/Pro/IS/Premier)
  • Which version…?
  • OS…? (32/64 Bit…? - which SP…?)
  • Other security related software installed…?
  • Which AV(s) did you use before Avast…?

Thanks, Asyn

  1. Download Avast Internet Security: https://files.avast.com/iavs9x/avast_internet_security_setup.exe
  2. Follow instructions: https://www.avast.com/uninstall-utility (Run this tool for all prior installed Avast versions…!!)
  3. Reinstall Avast with the downloaded installer from point 1.
  4. Reboot.

That’s done, hope the result is convincing. 8)

Thank you for the help.

You’re welcome.

I am sorry to say that the change does not seem convincing: always alerts for GMAIL pop3 accounts (Doubtful certificate, or something like that ???). There are fewer alerts, but at least one per Windows session.

No solutions ?

Thanks.

Done.

Hope it works.

Thank you.
