Reinstall free avast

Hi,

I had Avast Internet Security last year, which I choose not to auto renew so I defaulted to free Avast for a few weeks. I got an offer this morning for Avast Pro Antivirus for €10 so I purchased that. However, I found that a problem i had with my WiFi just disconnecting randomly (stopped doing so after i switched back to free Avast) started happening again straightaway when I left the free antivirus. I want to switch back to the free anti-virus. Is there a way to do this?

I have already requested a refund from Avast under their 30 day money back guarantee. I just dont want to wait to downgrade my program until then as it is very frustrating when WiFi just drops.

I am not sure if the only way is to uninstall the product and just reinstall but not to log into my account in it or is there a better way?

when you uninstall avast will ask if you want to revert to FREE

It doesnt - it shows the below but gives no options in any of the menus to revert to free antivirus

Have you selected uninstall ???
It should offer the option to downgrade to free after you select uninstall.

Yes - I did choose uninstall and it just starts uninstalling.

I’ve reported this to the developers. Not a good decision if the auto switch has been deleted.
Will post back once Avast replies.

The offer to go to Free is only when Pro is expiring or expired. In this situation is best to uninstall and install free.
