Just restored my sons W8.1 back to factory settings due to a nasty cryptowall 3.0 and multiple other infections and I am in the process of reinstalling AIS. I am at the AIS setup screen that is requesting me to insert activation code or Insert license file. Thank you for the reply and the link. I think I made a big booboo though. Looking back at the email notification we received after requesting the lost activation code, it appears that he had avast! Pro Antivirus installed and not AIS. I do apologize for the over sight.
My problem now is that when I get to the Avast Pro Antivirus 2015 download site, once I get to the customer registration page we are asked for the address, etc. He was deployed overseas at the end of last year when he installed APA and does not remember whose address he used to register his Avast. If I fill out that forum with a new address, will he be charged again? Is there a direct download that I can access to APA where I can just insert his activation code and not register the product since it is already registered?
