Hello,

 Site after site, were giving me long, some times complicated, and risky directions, to remove Astoria [dot] com. This was eight hours of frustration. So it turned out to be real easy, like the last place you look: 

  1. You'd think in "uninstall programs," Astoria would be easy to find: it wasn't. 

  2. It was under [b]wse_astoria[/b]. Second time in, and the last place I looked.

  3. Then it hijacked my default search engine. 

  4.  Go to Internet Options: Change my home page: Nothing, then it hit me.

  5. Homepage was only changed in the FF browser.

  6. Homepage needed to be changed, in Internet Options, in Windows IE, as well.  

  7. Fixed.

Hi that is just a variation on a theme. Are you still having problems as I can have a looksee if needed
