Remote Assistance feature is designed to allow avast! users/admins to connect and share desktops, but at the same time, we have to keep the security and protect our users!
If you want to use RA, you will have to ask for the key everytime you want to connect.
I think you probably misunderstood I almost anticipated this
I’m not talking about the key the user have to hand me over the phone - that is fine for security purposes yes ^^
I’m talking about we as a company have password protected access to all program/features of avast for our employees and thus an employee cant get into the avast program and press the remote assistance button because this is password protected.
I can remove password protection from program access, but this would allow the user to access more than just the RA feature of Avast which i would rather not allow.
How about my right click avast tray icon → RA idea, think this would be possible?
From my point of view - Remote access should be done by “admins” people who have access to all Windows features and avast too. You never know, what you will need to change…
I understand, that sometimes there is a user on the side, but on the other hand Admin of that network should know you are going to connect to their network,so he should assist you.
Do you have any information from Dev guys ?
I have the same problems, I need basic users, which doesn’t know the avast password, to have access to Remote Assitance.
