Remote netclient not showing in the console

Hi,

For one of our client that has multiple sites with different subnets linked via VPN over the Internet.

We can deploy the netclient agent from the ADNM console to the pc/server, but the PC/server stay greyed in the console.

What’s wrong ?

Kind regards

did u search this forum yet for grey ?? this subject has been handled multiple times

Hi,

No, I think this is a different issue.

All the “local” (means on the same subnet) PC/servers are reported correctly. ONLY the PC that are “remote” (means on a different subnet linked with a router on the VPN) are not reported in the console.

I have serched the forum for that issue without any luck.

By the way, we are Avast reseller.

Thanks
Cedric

Then it must have to do something with the fact that the current ADNM releases are not handling different IP ranges very well…
when a company has 2 sites they mostly place another ADNM on site, which is ofcourse a drastic solution to solve your problem if you have a very small site…

i havent had the pleasure yet of having multiple subnets in my network like that…

Thanks for your reply.

Well, there is no point to install another console in those remote sites as our client want to manage the security from a single point.

If Avast wants to target Business customers, this feature should be available.

For this specifi client, we managed to convince the client to migrate from Trend Micro to Avast, but he has now a lost in features because of this remote subnet management.

Could you please liaise with your developpers in order to understand WHY this is not working and what could be done. We have the full control over the sites/VPN and so on. So if something can be done to enable this, we could do it.

The last thing I want to have happening is the client to come back to us and ask for the licenses to be reimbursed. We are talking here about 230 licenses…

Thanks for coming back to me asap.

i do understand your frustration…
i do not have any developers and im not part of the avast company (in case u believe i was)…

but the feature you ask for is as far as i know not present in the current version, thats why they started with the v5 version of ADNM from scratch to support professional networks and deployment and control better… the only problem there is that we have no clue when it will come out… rumors go it will be this summer…

Oooooops sorry, I though you were part of Avast…

Thanks for your support anyway.

The new version is announced for September as far as I know.

Well, we will see if things will change then.
