How do I remove an Avast premium subscription from a computer. Uninstalling and reinstalling Avast doesn’t do it. The subscription remains there automatically. Moreover, Avast leaves behind a crap load of files (including many executables) behind, but that’s a question/discussion for another day.
I currently don’t have access to the computer (on vacation). Of course, there must be a way to remove or invalidate the subscription being used by a device from one’s Avast account settings accessible via the web, but I can’t find this. I noticed that my Avast account showed that the subscription was still active on that computer. So, if the computer were to die, does this mean the subscriptions will continue to be registered as active on it forever? I’m asking because that computer is falling apart fast (and it’s why I want to remove the subscription).
