with avast 5 will not find a way to introduce a new license code before the last 14 days of the old license.

No, the avastUI (Maintenance, Registration section) changes to be able to allow for re-registration once you start to get the update reminders.
At that point you will see that it changes to allow you to either Register through UI or by filling in a form and getting the old style email. See image example, this is slightly different as there will be your existing registration details and it won’t show Not Yet Registered.
