I want to know if there is a way to stop the Renewal popups without renewing. I do not want to renew my subscription because I am trying to save money. Also, are the popups going to continue even after my subscription expires? I see the reminder EVERY DAY. That is not a way to keep a customer. Surely there is a way to stop those popups. I canceled the auto-renewal already.
I just said in my original post, SpeedyPC, I already cancelled my auto-renewal. That is not the issue! I don’t want to know how to cancel the auto-renewal. I already canceled it. I want to know how to STOP the POPUPS if possible. I’m beginning to think this is not possible.
Cancelling the auto renewal won’t stop the renewal reminders as that condition won’t have changed you have X number of days remaining. I think this starts at 28 or 30 days out, but if you are much closer (you don’t say hoe long is left) they would get more frequent.
If your subscription has already expired then it may well still remind you. But if you have no intention of renewal then I would suggest you just go through the normal control panel > programs and features > avast antivirus and uninstall avast. During that process it should offer the option to install the avast free version.
Not really a solution as there appears to be an issue associated with silent/gaming mode, as it may not display virus alerts, which I believe it is meant to override silent/gaming mode to alert the user.
Please accept my apologize for misleading regarding to your issue and I’m glad that David has solve your answer correctly to your main question from the first post.
