I have replaced AVG with Avast 4 and when I log onto another user screen
with XP Pro I get AVG Kernel Error Messages when Outlook 2003 is loading!
This does not happen when I log on to my screen - only on my wife’s log on
screen.
I have deleted all files of AVG and still I get this message.
I have run Detect & Repair and still I get them.
I am sure I am missing something.
Help greatly appreciated.
I’m not sure as I do not use Outlook very often.
But if I remember correctly, if you went to About dialog and ‘uncheck’ the AVG plugin, close Outlook and run it again… 8)
Well this is obviously AVG’s fault to properly uninstall but I’ll try to help:
First search the registry for all occurences of the word Grisoft (I’m assuming the installation path of AVG had this word in it) and delete them,
Next quit Outlook and search your system drive for all occurences of a file called “extend.dat” and delete all those files. If you’re afraid to delete, you can just rename or move them to some other location - the point here is that they must not be found at their current location.
Where can I find a registry cleaner?
Is Be Clean a good one?
Deleting my wifes account will cause long term damage to my health and well being!
I need to stop this annoying error message.
I am very thnkful for your help ;D
