Replacement Tablet: Can I Use My BackUp File?

Okay,

I have my replacement tablet finally. I was able to make a backup of my settings, files, and Avast installation before my old one died.

Should I encounter any problems installing the backup installation of Avast (with Anti-Theft enabled); since I have to install the ENTIRE backup package, onto my new replacement tablet or am I kinda screwed here?

They are the same model of tablet. The only difference should be the serial #.

no problems expected. just install avast! Backup
since I have to install the ENTIRE backup package
it's just one app.

if your question is “how do I restore the old backup on the new device”:

  • install and configure avast! Backup
  • open it and “browse backup”
  • in the top right section you’ll see “Devices”
  • select the old device and you’re ready to restore the backup on your new device.

I actually just installed from scratch.

The main question is more for the manufacturer, as it was the installed backup tool I used.

But I was checking, as it seems some phone users encounter issues with SIM changes with replacement phones, to see if AMS would install, from backup, on a new device that its never been installed on. Will Anti-theft recognize its on a different device (same model as the first) or will it find conflict and start acting like its stolen?

Again, no need to solve this for me but it might be worth testing.
